Title

Defeating Anguish

I left home at 18 and decided to attend college miles away from home to feel free. I ultimately did not like traditional schooling and refused to go home. I met my ex-wife in 2011 and we planned a life away from Ohio. We succeeded in defeating the anguish that we both left behind. This is me, I am she the woman that escaped the storm brewing inside her mind. That storm followed me and I constantly battled the fits of depression and insecurity until I finally found out what self love really is.

Eve

In the garden Eve was young, curious, and she made a grave decision to disobey God. In this piece I showed how Adam contributed to the fall of mankind by not protecting Eve in a time of vulnerability. He lifted her on his shoulders and accepted their fate. I know this is nothing like the story was taught but it puts in perspective how both are equally wrong in the situation.

In a world full of emotions and pain we tend to forget about what truly matters. We are too caught up in the media to realize that peace starts within. In this piece I wanted to express the emotion behind feeling blue.
